As the owner and master framer at Phoenix Custom Framing & Gallery, I will provide high-quality picture framing and timeless designs to my customers. I take pride in my craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that every frame is made to perfection and that you will cherish for years to come.

I have truly enjoyed my picture framing career that has spanned over 30 years. Born in Toledo, Ohio, I received my first framing position as an apprentice framer at Deluxe Frame Shop in downtown Toledo soon after graduating from Maumee High School. During the next 8 years, I honed my craft in Toledo before moving with my wife to San Jose, California. There I was able to apply my framing skills working for some of the top frame shops in the area. In 2011, we, along with our two boys, moved our family back to Ann Arbor so that our boys could be closer to both our families. There I was hired at Pierre Paul Art Gallery in Ann Arbor as the Picture Framing Manager, where I worked for 12 years before starting my own business. I have extensive experience framing items ranging from standards like prints and photographs to more exotic items. Some of my favorite past projects include a full Kimono robe, Keith Richards’ twelve string guitar, two gold medals won by the Canadian Olympic hockey team and one silver medal for the U.S.A. Olympic hockey team and two civil war swords. I really love framing and the unique opportunities I have to design my clients cherished items. I continuously keep abreast of the latest framing and preservation methods to make sure my clients get the best service and information when framing their precious art and heirlooms.
